Containers & Grades

What container grades do you sell? +
We stock four grades. One-Trip (New) containers have made a single cargo voyage and look near-showroom. Cargo Worthy (CWO) units are certified structurally sound and suitable for export shipping. Wind & Water Tight (WWT) units are guaranteed sealed against the elements for storage. As-Is units are our most economical, sold in their current working condition. Every container ships under our 5-Point Condition Guarantee.
What sizes are available? +
Standard steel containers run from 10ft, 20ft and 40ft up to 45ft, in both standard (8ft 6in) and high-cube (9ft 6in) heights. We also carry refrigerated (reefer), open-top, flat-rack and flat-pack units, plus container homes, offices and pools. If you need a size or configuration that is not listed, ask us β€” most are available on short lead times.
What is the difference between a standard and a high-cube container? +
A high-cube container is one foot taller than a standard unit β€” 9ft 6in versus 8ft 6in exterior height β€” giving roughly 344 extra cubic feet of interior space. High-cubes are the popular choice for container homes, offices and any build where headroom or insulation depth matters.
New or used β€” which should I buy? +
For a clean, dent-free finish or a customer-facing build, choose One-Trip (New). For general storage, jobsite security or a budget project, a Cargo Worthy or Wind & Water Tight used container gives you the same steel strength at a lower price. Our team is happy to recommend a grade for your use case.

Delivery & Freight

How much does delivery cost? +
Delivery is free. We include tilt-bed freight across the continental United States on every container, so the price you see is the price delivered to your site.
How does a container get delivered to my site? +
Most orders arrive on a tilt-bed (roll-off) truck. The bed tilts to the ground and the container slides off as the truck pulls forward, setting it in place β€” no crane required. For tight-access sites or precise placement, we can arrange crane or forklift delivery for an additional fee. Let us know your access details when you order.
How long does delivery take? +
Most in-stock containers dispatch within 1 – 3 business days and arrive within 3 – 10 business days depending on the distance from our Houston, TX or Savannah, GA depots. Custom-modified units and reefers take longer; we confirm a firm timeline before your order is finalized.
How much space do I need for delivery? +
For tilt-bed delivery of a 20ft container, allow roughly 60ft of straight, level clearance in line with the drop point plus room for the truck to maneuver; a 40ft container needs about 100ft. The ground should be firm and reasonably level. If access is limited, tell us in advance and we will plan crane placement instead.

Site Prep, Permits & Modifications

How should I prepare my site? +
A firm, level surface is all most containers need. Gravel pads, concrete piers or railroad ties under each corner casting keep the unit level, promote drainage and prevent settling. We recommend leveling within about 1 inch over the length of the container so doors swing and latch correctly.
Do I need a permit to place a container? +
It depends on your local jurisdiction. Many areas allow a container for temporary storage with no permit, while permanent placement, container homes and offices usually require zoning approval or a building permit. Always check with your city or county before delivery β€” we can supply spec sheets and drawings to support your application.
Can you modify or customize a container? +
Yes. Our fabrication team adds personnel doors, roll-up doors, windows, HVAC, insulation, electrical packages, shelving, partitions and custom paint. We also build container homes, offices, workshops and pools. Send us your requirements and we will quote a turnkey build.
Are your containers watertight and secure? +
Yes. Every Wind & Water Tight, Cargo Worthy and One-Trip container is sealed against wind and rain, fitted with marine-grade lockboxes or secure locking bars, and covered by our 5-Point Condition Guarantee.

Payment & Ordering

Which payment methods do you accept? +
We accept all major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. For large or multi-unit orders we also accept bank wire and ACH transfer. Financing is available on request.
Do you offer financing? +
Yes, financing is available on request for qualifying orders. Contact our sales team at sales@llcontainers.com or call +1 (888) 555-0142 and we will walk you through the options.
Can I visit a depot to see containers before I buy? +
Absolutely. Both our Houston, TX and Savannah, GA depots welcome visitors Monday to Friday, 8AM – 6PM, and Saturday 9AM – 2PM. Call ahead so we can have the grade you are interested in ready to inspect.
